This restaurant serves Filipino cuisine with an Ilocano twist. The name Inapuyan comes from the Ilocano words “inapoy” which means “rice” and “inapuyan” which means “to set fire.” Located in Candon, Ilocos Sur, this restaurant is known as the home of the best sinigang na lechon, and for its amazing Bagnet Kare-kare, a dish that combines juicy and crispy bagnet with the delectable peanut sauce of Kare-kare that will undoubtedly delight your taste buds.

Buying pasalubong before returning home is, of course, a classic Filipino custom. One thing that will bring back memories of the North is their very own Chichacorn from LSJ Cornik, known as “the original chichacorn in town.” The crunchy snack is made of glutinous corn with apog as the main ingredient, making it easier to chew. You can also check out their kalamay, a sticky and sweet treat made with brown sugar, coconut milk, and glutinous rice. These will definitely satisfy your cravings!
