Summer is just around the corner, and this time we’re planning ahead. While being stuck at home last year led us to some, needless to say, innovative hobbies, now we have the foresight to plan ahead and be able to stay closer to sunny shores. If isolation means staying in some remote and safe bungalow near crystal blue waters (artificial or not), then sign us up for any of these resorts in the Philippines:
1. Destello Events and Villas, Alfonso
Located in Alfonso, Cavite, Destello Villas is an intimate events venue with two villas. Tucked away from the noise of the city, the nice and cozy villas each have their own pool in addition to their intimate event space. The property offers day tour packages and longer stays for couples, barkadas, or families to vacay and/or celebrate privately. Walk-ins are not allowed and guests must follow DOT and IATF policy.
2. Raffi’s Way, Tagaytay
Live life on the edge, literally. Book a night or three at Raffi’s Way in Tagaytay. Catch a glimpse of Taal Volcano from their lovely pool or their high-ceiling living room. Raffi’s Way has four designer bedrooms with pristine white interiors and folksy wooden elements. In addition to the pool and living room, they also have a dining area and kitchen. They’re also located close to places like Punta Fuego Beach and Nuvali.
As people continue to venture south, why not head to the nearest north and give Zambales a try? Sundowners Zambales is a newly-opened beachfront luxury resort in Botolan, where Mount Pinatubo and Tukal Tukal Falls are famously located. They currently have ten spacious villas that range from 1-bedroom types to grand 6-bedroom pool villas, two infinity pools, a bar and restaurant, and a 100-meter beach. As a resort in the Philippines, they’re currently only accepting Zambales residents for the time being, but feel free to bookmark for your next vacation. Medical certificates are required for guests while kids below 15 and seniors over 65 are still prohibited.
4. Noni’s Resort, Batangas
Situated 1,000 feet above sea level, Noni’s Resort in Cuenca, Batangas offers scenic views of Taal Lake, Tagaytay Ridges, and Mount Makulot. It’s surrounded by quiet pockets of nature and inside are vast chambers of relaxation for the ultimate vacation.
