When we think of “tacos,” we think of La Chinesca! Their hearty Mexican fare is filled with flavors that pack a punch, so it’s no surprise this Bruce Ricketts baby is on everyone’s taco must-try list. The tuna tostada and pork carnitas will surely win you over.
DRIVE BY Taco Stop
BF Homes does seem like a haven for taco lovers! DRIVE BY Taco Stop is another great option in the area that serves up classic Latin flavors. From their handmade corn tortillas to their to-die-for lengua tacos, you shouldn’t just drive by… You have to stop and eat!
Picada Tapeo Restaurante
This Catalan-inspired spot breathes new life to tapas, paellas, sangrias, and other Hispanic classics we love! Best-known for their pintxos and chipirones, Picada is flowing with good vibes and great flavors — and a visit here will give you a gastronomic experience to remember.
Chef Tina Legarda serves fusion comfort food at Bamba Bistro. Their modern and posh twists on crowd favorites make this spot a favorite among Southies!. Try the Duck Ravioli or Le Cochon sliders for a meal you won’t soon forget.
Sensei Sushi Bar
Another Bruce Ricketts baby, Sensei brings a fresh new take to the Japanese food you thought you knew. You’ll understand the cult following when you try the Tuna & Crispy Scallop Dynamite, the Tijuana Roll, or the Ika & Uni Gunkan, all of which will leave your palate both satisfied and craving for more!

Tired of the usual Filipino, Japanese, Mexican cuisines? Maybe it’s time to Thai something new! Try out Dusadee Thai, an authentic Thai restaurant that delivers on amazing Thai dishes such as Chicken Pad Thai, Tomyum (both for sharing and for solo orders), and even actual Thai milk tea!

Spoon eat + drink
A hidden gem in BF Homes, Spoon eat + drink cooks up a unique mix of classic comfort food combined with modern New York-style gastronomy. Their menu ranges from porchetta stuffed with apple and fennel to traditional Filipino pancit bihon. Our personal favorite? The simply sumptuous 40 Cloves Chicken.
Proving that BF Homes isn’t all tacos and fusion food, Southern Dairy is the perfect destination for those with a serious sweet tooth. While they also serve full meals and platters, we’d recommend their homemade gelato, super sweet muffins, and all-in-one breakfast boxes.

And okay, these next two spots are technically not in BF Homes, but they’re still in the south — so we just had to put them on our list!
As the mothership of the famed Mendokoro Ramenba, Yushoken knows their stuff when it comes to ramen, noodles, and gyoza. Loved for everything on their menu but revered for their tradition-breaking Super Chashu ramen. Ramen lovers should not pass up a visit to Yushoken while in Alabang.
